The drive date Part 1: Pick up and drive.

 Aki pulled out of the parking lot and started driving towards home. This area had a lot of banquet halls and the day being a Friday, lot of party halls were full. He drove on for about a km, when it started raining - heavily. So much so that, even though he was driving slowly, he had to turn the wiper dial to full speed. As he reached the end of that road, he turned towards the left on the highway. After about 10 minutes, it became so impossible to see that he made an exit to a nearby road, dark and uninviting, where there was a dinghy old restaurant. The power had probably gone out. He stopped near the gates of the property and the beam of headlights of his car flashed onto a lady standing at the side under a bus stop shed. She had worn a yellow saree and a sleeveless blouse. She was drenched to her skin. Even from a full 100 meters, Aki could make out that she was shapely in figure and she had her hands tightly hugged around herself. No doubt, she was feeling cold. For a moment Aki felt creeped out. It was a dark night, with lots of rain. There was no electricity here and there she was - alone in the dark wearing a bright yellow saree - God knows where she had come from and what she was doing on the bus stop? 

Aki's first instinct was to zoom off. But it was too risky to drive anyway and what was the harm in just waiting here in the car and watching the girl, he thought? So he waited. 

But the rain did not slow down. He started to drive off and thought of just passing by the lady (Even though he feared that it could be a horror story with her disappearing when he looked up again !!). When he was driving by her, he rolled down his window and ....stopped, as if unable to pass by the spot, without helping the poor lady. 

He then shouted out - "Hey, are you waiting for someone? Do you want a lift?" For a moment, she did not answer. Aki creeped out even more because of this !! Finally, the lady answered, "No. I am coming from a party. A friend was supposed to pick me up, but he isnt here yet and my mobile phone is dead" 

Aki still suspected whether this was all true, or just a seductive ghost's ruse to honeytrap and possess him till the end of eternity !! Cautiously he asked, "Would you be comfortable, if I dropped you where you wish to go?"
