Raj and Trisha watched the movie drinking their coffee slowly. The movie was punctuated by their conversation and comments on the movie scenes. Both had watched the movie before and loved it, so much so that they repeated some of the dialogues for fun in imitation of the actors' voices. Raj realised that Trisha was really talented at mimicry.
He asked her whether she had considered mimicry and acting as an alternate line of work.
"Yes. I had. I am good at it since childhood and also a movie buff. Sometime during college, I was quite serious about it. Was in theatrics and did many plays in different events. I was an aspiring actress. But then I had a shitty experience and left it for good - I think" said Trisha. It was the first time they talked about their pasts or lives, for that matter. Raj could kind of guess what 'Shitty experience' meant and he didnt press her for further details. Although she was open, Raj realised that if she herself didnt talk about it, it certainly meant something rather painful for her.
"Well....with talent like that and those killer looks.....you wouldve done well I guess....But anyway, still I wouldnt have met you, if you were that famous !!" Raj said finishing off lightly. He really felt that she should be an actress and at the same time, didnt mean to sensitize her by forcing her to recall 'painful' memories. Therefore he finished off with the typical Raj jovial style.
Trisha smiled. "Thanks for those compliments. Shall I make coffee?"
"If I wanted coffee, I wouldnt have flattered you for it. I wouldve made it myself. I really meant what I said." said Raj.
"Hahaha.....no its not like that - I want to make us another round." said Trisha laughing.
"Ok. But please dont put any sugar at all" said Raj seriously.
"Why? Ill put only a little bit. I know you diet and all with those huge shoulders and taut biceps" Trisha said winking at him.
"Hahaha...." Raj laughed, blushing at the hidden compliment. "Dont put any sugar, because whatever you make will obviously be very sweet." Raj added.
Trisha made a face. "Not only do you crack bad jokes. You even pass bad lines like the one you just said. We were having so much fun complimenting each other and then this shitty line made it a mess. Like a movie with a good first half and a fucked up last half " said Trisha in mock annoyance.
"Hahaha....nice comparison .....talking about sweet .....come here....I want to lick you...you sweet thing." Raj said laughing and pretending to catch her with both hands.
"Eeeewwww......" said Trisha and ran to the kitchen quickly.
It started raining outside and the weather turned very chilly - pune type chilly. It was now 12 AM. Trisha brought two cups of coffee outside and Raj unpaused the movie. They quickly drank the hot coffee this time.
The window was open and a cold wind was blowing. Trisha was shivering in those clothes. Raj went inside and returned with a blanket. Without Trisha noticing, he unfolded the blanket and with gentle hands wrapped her from behind and tucked the blanket on one side of her. He sat on the couch and then placed his hand around her and pulled her closer. Trisha automatically placed the back of her head on his chest and sighed gently, feeling warmth in his embrace. Raj was beaming now, feeling happy. He planted a gentle kiss on the top of her head, smelling her rose-fragrant hair, his chin brushing the soft wool like texture of it. Both of them closed their eyes and fell asleep on the couch - Raj resting his head on the back cushion of the sofa and Trisha resting hers on his chest still.
